We’re proud to announce our partnership with leading charity UK Youth to tackle digital poverty and boost opportunities for young people across the UK. Through this collaboration, we are connecting over 1,000 youth centres with 2Gbps symmetrical high-speed, full-fibre broadband, free of charge for the next two years. This initiative will provide critical support to youth organisations and the nearly 570,000 young people who currently lack access to essential learning devices and reliable internet at home.
For many young people, the lack of access to digital infrastructure is a barrier to learning and personal development, perpetuating inequalities and ultimately limiting life chances. We believe that providing quality connectivity will enhance educational equality, reduce unemployment, and foster social mobility. By equipping young people with the digital tools they need to thrive, the UK economy as a whole will benefit – and this is a mission close to our hearts. Our goal is to transform access to full fibre for those previously underserved and deliver lasting value for those communities, and the country as a whole.
Our CEO, Rajiv Datta, recently discussed the importance of this initiative on ITN Business’ Digital Britain: Connecting the Nation. By helping to provide access to quality connectivity to all, particularly areas previously under-served, we’re not only supporting digital inclusion but also driving innovation and economic growth across the UK.
Our mission is to transform the UK’s digital infrastructure by offering sustainable competition in the market. This partnership is an important step in fulfilling our responsibility to the communities we serve and helping the UK realise its full digital potential.
